Yearly Doctor Visit Pictures

A couple years ago I started taking a picture of Alec at each checkup (not sure why Ethan wasn't included?!) just because he looked so cute in the tiny chair, so I had an idea to put them side-by-side and oh my goodness...where did that little chunk go!??!

1 year (didn't take a doctor picture, but this will do)
2 year checkup
3 year checkup
4 year checkup (and totally touching the floor!)

I'll start taking Ethan's pictures from now until he's 18. :)  From their pictures, I can tell they share the same smile.

Pool Launcher

We've been to the neighborhood pool only a handful of times this summer.  The kids like it, but they only last an hour or so.  Ethan is swimming without much assistance, however, he has to stay in the shallow end.  It's taken a little while for him to get the feel of swimming on his own, but each time we go he's gotten more confident.  Alec is still just fine wearing his puddle jumper, he likes the water a lot and is content just floating and kicking around.

Nick went with us a couple weeks ago and I'm sure they wished he went every time.  I rarely even get in the water with them, so Nick was designated to be the kid launcher.  Alec started off pretty timid and only wanted "medium" throws and then he built up his courage and wanted "huuuuuuuge" throws.

And then he bored of front throws and spiced it up a little with backward tosses...

Ethan preferred to watch rather than be watched, and maybe that's because he landed in a belly flop after this throw....ouch!

Paul McCartney and Justin Timberlake

Nick and I saw a legend last month...Sir Paul McCartney.  He put on a great 3 hour show!  Our seats weren't great at all, but we still got to see him!

Just last week a girlfriend had extra tickets to the Justin Timberlake concert and I figured I'd better take the opportunity to add to my list of concerts I've attended in my lifetime.  Our seats were even worse than Paul's concert and there wasn't even a monitor to make up for it, but we still had a great time!

On our agenda later this year is The Black Keys and Jerry Seinfeld, so we shall call 2014 "The Year of Concerts".
